A little history

Tess began as the youngest helper at a seaside holiday camp in Scarborough, where she was eventually trusted with the children's sports day and a ball of red string. A three-legged race taught her that cooperation could be perfectly sincere and still end in a hedge. She started telling stories while untangling the equipment, giving each child's account the same serious hearing as the adults'.
