For authors & illustrators
Make a world someone can step into.
Bring a story, a visual world, or a distinctive way of seeing. Let’s make an adventure that readers can enter for themselves.
Tell us about your workWe’re inviting conversations about our first creative partnerships.

Your story, with room for a player
The work begins with a point of view.
Who lives here? What do they want? What is worth discovering? An adventure grows from its author’s choices: the world, its people, the puzzle beneath the surface and the endings that make the journey worthwhile.
You shape that story and its voice. The player brings their curiosity. A named AI storyteller brings the moment to life, responding to what they try within the adventure you’ve developed.
Authors
A story made to be explored.
Bring a premise, a cast, a puzzle or a world you keep returning to. We’ll talk about how it could work as a playable story, then develop the scope and terms together.
Our publishing partnerships include royalties on sales of an author’s accepted adventure. The rate, rights, editorial work and payment arrangements are agreed before the project begins.

Give a world its character.
A face, a doorway, a peculiar object: the art carries the story too. We welcome fully human-illustrated works, human-directed AI artwork, and human cover illustration paired with direction of AI-generated interiors.
Illustration and art direction are paid creative work. We agree the commission, permitted uses, credits and payment for each project; any royalty arrangement is agreed as part of that scope.
Talk to us about artWorking together
From a first conversation to a finished adventure.
- Meet the idea.
A short introduction and, if you like, a link to your work. You don’t need a finished manuscript.
- Agree the collaboration.
Explore a concept or small sample, then agree the creative scope, rights, payment and credits.
- Make, play, refine.
Develop the story and art with us. We bring the Adventures format, editorial collaboration, the playing experience and testing to help it take shape.
We’re starting with a small number of pilot collaborations. An introduction opens a conversation; projects are selected and agreed together.
Your work, credited
Every contribution has its place.
Authoring, editing, illustration, art direction and voice direction are credited for the work each person does. Our AI storytellers have names and personalities too, with their role right beside their name.
For The Library of Last Resort, authoring and art direction are by the ForeverLearning Team. Meet Quill Pennyworth, its AI storyteller, in the adventure’s credits.
Inside the making
From an idea to an adventure.
We’re documenting the making of Patchborn, our next adventure in development, to share the decisions, discoveries and revisions along the way.
Making a world you can play.
A look inside the craft: people and puzzles, the storyteller’s voice, art direction, and the revisions that bring it together.
Bring your story to Adventures.
A practical guide to worlds, characters, discoveries and endings, with examples of shaping a distinctive AI storyteller.
Something in mind?
We’d love to hear what you make and what you’d like to explore with us.
