A little history

In an imagined 1938 Tacoma, Nadine worked as a salvage diver, bringing tools, wedding rings, and once a kitchen stove back out of the water. The owners seldom agreed about which recovery mattered most. She began telling stories during the long afternoons when the gear was drying and someone was still trying to explain why they wanted a broken thing back.
